For environment;
Except some fabrics of SEKA, the most paper production in Turkey is made from imported cellulose, straw and recovered paper. A well arranged collection system could ease the work of municipality. Furthermore, when recovered paper starts to be used in production, the water and chemicals used in production will decrease, which is very important for the protection of the environment.

For forest resources; The forest resources in Turkey do not develop with the same speed as the paper production. This causes raw material shortage in paper industry. For 1 tone of paper, 3 m3 of wood is needed. With recycling of paper, this use can be limited.

Energy Saving;
If recovered paper is used instead of wood, energy needed for the production decreases. Recovered paper can be bridged in the raw material format with a lesser use of energy.

Saving in Raw Material Sources and Chemicals;
The use of recovered paper constitutes a raw material source. While recycling of recovered paper, some chemicals in it are also recycled, which decreases the use of chemicals.

Money Saving;
By collecting recovered paper domestically, there would be great money saving as firms will no longer import cellulose and paper. Furthermore, there would be new work areas because of collecting, classifying and shipping of recovered paper.

Ø       Decrease in air pollution (% 95),

Ø       Prevents forest destruction.
